About the role
You’ll work with a wide range of partners to ensure that the British Heart Foundation (BHF) can thrive, inspire trust and deliver maximal impact by growing its income to support world-class research. You’ll drive policy development across the BHF, drawing on the expertise of internal and external colleagues to develop robust evidence-based positions on behalf of the organisation.
You’ll work on a range of issues, including Brexit and its implications for the voluntary sector, the regulation of charities (including fundraising and retail), the charities’ role in public services, the funding and tax treatment of charities, charity campaigning and governance.
There will be specific opportunities to support other parts of the policy portfolio in discrete areas as opportunities emerge, such as in policy as it relates to out-of-hospital cardiac arrests, detection of inherited conditions, or other health policy topics. Scanning the external environment you’ll help inform the BHF’s strategic decision-making, direct its response to government consultations, and influence our public affairs and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
