Public Affairs and Press Officer

Salary expectation: £31,000 to £34,000

The Organisation

A thriving children’s membership charity specialising in early years education.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the press and public affairs team and develop skills in communications and politics.

You will be the first point of contact in the team and responsible for writing press releases, drafting comment pieces, providing briefing notes for interviews and producing case studies.

Proactively monitor political debaters and use this as a source of information to support the strategic work of the organisation.

The Candidate

Most importantly, the press and public affairs team requires a driven, creative individual with strong writing skills and ability to work confidently with complex campaigning materials.

You will have experience working in a busy press office with existing communications skills and be able to learn and pick up new information quickly on the public affairs side.

A passion for politics is key; this role will provide the development needed to gain public affairs experience.
