Chief Operating Officer

Location: Canterbury, CT2 7NZ

Salary expectation: £60,000 to £65,000

As part of its strategic development, this diverse charity seeks a Chief Operating Officer to provide leadership with fresh energy and an appetite to lead in an organisation that never stands still.

The charity’s Board is looking for leadership that focuses on the quality and sustainability of operations to support established and new work.

As the new COO, you will co-work closely with experienced colleague leaders and lead a brilliant team of executive specialists who work across programmes and key operational functions.

 

COO Key responsibilities:

Nurture a vibrant, inclusive, healthy organisational culture and oversee operations, ensuring resilience, compliance and effectiveness. You will focus on the quality and sustainable resourcing of operations.

Person Specification

  • To be considered for this position, you will likely have a minimum of five years of senior management experience working in a charity or not-for-profit.
  • Experience working in health, social care or education would be beneficial.
  • Strong team leadership and line management experience are essential
  • You will see your work as a vocation and contribution to social change.
  • You are passionate about nurturing a vibrant, inclusive, healthy organisational culture in which people of all kinds flourish and can be their best.

Location

This position is hands-on, and you will work across the central office in Canterbury, working remotely and frequently travelling to locations in Kent and Medway.
