Communications Manager

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary expectation: £47,000

Application deadline: Mon 27th November

This is a part-time role

We are looking for a proactive Communications Manager to join our team at the Royal Society for Public Health, where you will be using your passion for communications to help fulfil our mission of ensuring that everyone can live healthier lives.

As RSPH’s Communications Manager you will play a key role in ensuring we transform our profile and connect with key audiences – so that we maximise our ability to tackle health inequalities, support the wider public health workforce and make public health everyone’s responsibility.

This is a brilliant opportunity to use your experience and expertise to lead a revitalised communications function, shaping a new team working across media engagement and PR, website and digital engagement, brand and marketing.

We’re looking for someone who has considerable experience of working across external communications. You’ll need to be as comfortable managing media relations and stakeholder communications as you are overseeing brand, website development and digital engagement.

Through working closely with colleagues across the charity, including in policy, programmes, membership, training and educational services, you will ensure we are communicating effectively so we unlock our potential and grow our profile, reach and impact.

As the world’s oldest public health agency, we have a proud track record of providing a credible and authoritative voice in public health, but there’s so much more we know we need to achieve.

What you will bring

We are looking for someone with experience of managing a wide range of external communications work, and an understanding of the charity and not for profit sector. Leading on our communications strategy you will also need to be experienced in managing staff and budgets. An effective communicator, you will excel at engaging with key internal and external stakeholders to make a difference.

Deadline: Mon 27th November
