The Union of Brunel Students is one of more than 550 students’ unions across the country. And with more than 15,000 members, 150 clubs and societies, a huge range of services and a bold strategy, we’re one of the most exciting.

What’s the job?

Marketing and Communication brings the vision of the Union to life , enabling us to lobby, represent, mobilise and enthuse  members and it will be expected that the candidate will be able to fully utilise all marketing and communication methods to ensure that all stakeholders are fully aware of Union activities and achievements and values.

This post oversees the two way communication with the membership, our key stakeholders and the public ensuring that the Union and its activities are widely recognised, valued and celebrated and that the Union is clearly pitched as the essential and primary resource for life at Brunel University.

Who you are

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in marketing or communications roles, that are full of enthusiasm, focused as much on our members needs as they are on achieving excellence, team players, and able to develop and implement organisational strategy.

You will have experience of creating and delivering successful strategies and campaigns. Your skills should span copy and report writing, website and social media management, membership engagement and project management. Experience in change programmes will be a strong attribute too.

With at least 2 years lead management experience you’ll have developed a style of managing that is

empowering, inspirational, flexible and above all effective
