From local and national support services to green spaces, sports clubs, museums and the arts, voluntary organisations and volunteers are a vital part of communities across the country. As the membership community for charities and voluntary organisations, NCVO has championed volunteers and the voluntary sector for over a hundred years.

​The main elements of the role will be:

• ​Develop policy solutions based on evidence and member experience to improve the operating environment for charities and volunteering.
• ​Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the voluntary sector and across government.
• ​Work collaboratively with colleagues to build a strong evidence base for our policy work.
• ​Communicate effectively about key issues and policy issues internally and externally.
• ​Work in collaboration with the team to achieve policy wins to create an enabling environment for charities and volunteers.
