Policy and Campaigns Support Officer (South West)

Location: Bristol (happy to discuss remote working)

Salary expectation: £37,450

This is a full-time role
Pro rata salary. Fixed term maternity cover for 7 months with possible extension (secondments considered)

We’re offering the opportunity to become involved in a wide and varied area of work within our south west team.


About the role

The role includes supporting policy and research, campaigning and media.  The post holder will also have an opportunity to work with colleagues and partners to make a difference to working lives through the work we undertake.


Who we’re looking for

This position would suit someone who has experience of building constructive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and who can use their experience and organisational skills to contribute to the success of our regional campaign strategy.


What experience, skills, knowledge and understanding do you need?

  • You’ll able to understand complex issues and exercise sound political judgement
  • You’ll have a good knowledge and strong interest in the economic and social issues affecting working people in the south west
  • You’ll have good knowledge and understanding of key issues for the TUC including current issues in trade unionism
  • You’ll enjoy making a positive contribution to the team’s success
