Policy, Research & Learning Lead
Location: Central London / Hybrid working with up to 2 days in the office
Salary expectation: £38,000 to £45,000

A4ID is a global charity with a vision to see the law and lawyers play their full part in the global eradication of poverty. The mission of A4ID is to be an authoritative voice of the legal community, to inspire and enable lawyers to join the fight against poverty, and to ensure that legal support is available for those engaged in that fight.
The Policy, Research & Learning (PRL) Lead has overall responsibility for A4ID’s policy and research portfolio, as well as the development and growth of the A4ID learning portfolio.
The PRL Lead will take forward, under the supervision of the CEO, the expansion of new areas of research and policy, including the development of thought leadership, evidence-based policy and stakeholder engagement, to further the organisation’s aims in highlighting how the law and lawyers can play a role in the sustainable development agenda.
The PRL Lead will maintain oversight in the translation of policy positions and research outputs into key learning products, supporting the Learning & Knowledge Officer in designing and running a range of well-established training programmes aimed at lawyers and development professionals.
The PRL Lead will liaise closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the ROLE UK Programme Lead and the Pro Bono Legal Services (PBLS) Lead, to provide support on research and thought leadership outputs. In addition, the PRL Lead will support and provide input into the Communications Team.
The PRL Lead will be actively involved in the ROLE UK programme to generate evidence and thought leadership to feed into and develop rule of law and partnership discourse and communities of practice.
