Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Salary expectation: £17,789 pro rata

Redwings the charity is a provider of everyday care for over 1,500 horses and donkeys at ten centres across the UK, including five Visitor Centres. In addition we have around 500 horses out on loan in private homes.

Social Media and Marketing Officer

Full time, fixed term for six months

Monday to Friday 09.00 am – 17.00 pm

Salary: £17,788.88 per annum rising to £17,988.75 after probation

Please note that this salary will be prorated to reflect the fixed term contract.

Based at Redwings Hapton, Norfolk

Redwings Horse Sanctuary is seeking a dynamic digital-savvy communicator with a passion for animal welfare to manage the charity’s marketing programme and represent Redwings through the charity’s social media streams. In particular, the post involves utilising a range of digital marketing approaches to promote the vital work of the organisation as well as producing copy and placing ads in more traditional print outlets. You will be working to find creative ways to promote the work of the charity to new supporters and existing donors, and you will contribute to Redwings’ printed communications by overseeing the production of its promotional leaflets as well as writing copy for its supporter newsletter. You will also be assisting with the Redwings website and working alongside colleagues to generate content for social media including photos and videos and planning engaging posts for our popular accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You will report on your activities using a range of monitoring and measurement tools and regularly test new approaches to generate a high level of engagement and interest.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone experienced in social media management and digital or traditional marketing. You will have first rate written and verbal communication skills, good horse care knowledge and a passion for animal welfare, and you will be fully committed to the aims and vision of Redwings.
