Ways of working:

“Retained service” – 13.5% of first year salary – as you commit to us to succeed to you, we reward this commitment by reducing the fee by around one-fifth.

This way of working has an over 90% success rate first time around – but we will keep going until you appoint.

We also reward your commitment to working collaboratively by giving a 12 month guarantee. Most guarantees by other recruitment consultants are typically for only 3 months.

  • “Shortlist Boost” – 7.5% of first year salary – we undertake the same full search, but we leave the setting up of interviews, candidate feedback and successful candidate negotiation to you. The fee is due when we present the candidates to you.
  • “No appointment, no fee” – 17.5% of first year salary

Most candidates in charity external affairs sector are on our database and through our reputable networks, we can reach almost every candidate available.

We start the search with our database.

Assuming we have the time to undertake an exhaustive search, we then go through the following process which leads to our repeated success.

We put the relevant criteria into a search and expect between 50-80 candidates for a long list. After systematically going through each CV and checking the candidate’s current status, we reduce this list typically to around 20-30 candidates.

We then look to interview these 25-30 candidates – face-to-face, online or on the phone.

We then aim to present 5-8 candidates to clients – CVs and supporting statements or application forms.

Advertising reaches the Active candidates (17%) – those looking for jobs.

Our search assignments are successful because they also reach Passive candidates (83%) – those not looking, but once we have individually marketed your role and your organisation to them are keen to apply.
