Sometimes you want to support your team and offer them expert guidance and assistance to move their career forward
For a local Age UK in London, a team was facing redundancy and the Director invited us to for a day to run training and guidance on how to prepare for their job search. We started with a group session to understand the priorities and to cover areas that affected all the staff including CV preparation. We then had individual 30 minute one-to-one slots focusing on the individual requirements of each member of staff
Action For Children have used this service – we went in and held a session with two interns who wanted to get their first paid roles in policy and campaigns.
Our Director, Jonathan Dearth, went into the National Union of Students and held a session with 5 members of their Executive Committee coming to the end of their term of office. He held a general session for all the individuals covering common issues. This was then followed up with personal individual sessions to cover private issues in line with their individual circumstances.
Free Career Coaching for your team
Our regular clients who work with us on a retained basis receive an extra free benefit from working with The Right Ethos – Free Career Coaching.
We started offering Career Coaching in 2007 in response to candidates who we couldn’t help as they didn’t have the experience required by our clients. But it was also clear from their questions and reactions that they didn’t know how to obtain this experience.
With a little bit of guidance and direction through our Career Coaching, these people had questions answered that although obvious to those already working in charities, were not to candidates seeking new opportunities in the third sector. They are tested on their commitment and given options of individual pathways that fitted their interests and personal circumstances to gain a role in the charity sector.
We now offer Career Coaching for free for our best clients.
