Diversity within Recruitment
All advertisements are intended to be free of discrimination. They are not be placed somewhere where only one type of person is likely to read or have access to them.
The language we use is intended not to have connotations which could be considered discriminatory. We believe it is important to take seriously what the job advertisement actually says or looks like.
We explicitly encourage diverse candidates to apply.
In a video promoting advertising with The Right Ethos, the vast majority of the people featured are female. A third of the people are from a BAME background:

In another advert, we have recently released amongst the diverse background of people featured is a disabled person: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSbNnkCZIKc
We feel that conventional advertising no longer works and do not put much store by it. Over the last year, The Right Ethos has began offering advertising and our clients have found that they get over double the amount of views – (125% more)
Therefore, for our recruitment services we advertise externally very little. Instead we directly reach out to to those segments of the population who are underrepresented. This is not only the right thing to do, which we are firmly committed towards. But, it also makes good business sense as our clients work in a progressive sector and demand candidates that are more representative of the country as a whole.
Therefore, we use the internet and very specifically social media networks to pro-actively expand our database of people from certain underrepresented groups. For those from groups where it is less obvious, perhaps less visual or less obvious by their name, this is a challenge for us and we are trying to learn best practices.
Our Director is a member of a member of the Senior Jobsharing Network which works to promote the benefit of Jobsharing across the charity sector. An issue that disportionally affects women. He has written and presented on this issue:

We look to train our staff to be confident in both the legislation relating to equal opportunities as well as the ethical and business case for diversity.
We have made some steps towards improving diversity and are committed to improving.
